With your permission, Google Analytics helps me understand which pages people use. It stays completely off unless you allow it. Advertising and personalisation remain off either way.
How I use enquiry information, who I may share it with and the choices you have about your personal data.
01
Who is responsible for your information?
I’m Andy Hook, trading as ARH Vehicle Solutions, and I’m responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Use either contact below if you want to ask a privacy question or exercise one of your rights.
If you call, email or use the enquiry form, I may receive your name, business name, contact details and anything you choose to say about your enquiry. Please do not send confidential financial records, identity documents or sensitive personal information unless I’ve asked for them and explained why they are needed.
The enquiry form sends the details you enter through the website’s Cloudflare Worker and delivers them by email to andy@arhvs.uk. The website does not add the message to a marketing list or keep a separate form-submission database.
Name, email address and the enquiry itself are required so that I can understand and reply. Business name is optional.
Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form from automated misuse. When the contact page loads, Turnstile may process security signals such as your IP address, browser or user-agent information, TLS characteristics, the site key and the page origin. The Worker sends the challenge token and IP address to Cloudflare for verification before it accepts an enquiry. This information is used for website security, not advertising.
I use enquiry information to read and respond to your message, discuss the work you have asked about and keep a record of the conversation where that is reasonably needed.
The usual lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and managing client relationships. Where you ask me to take steps before entering an agreement, the information may also be needed for those steps.
I do not use enquiry details for automated decisions or profiling.
04
Who I may share it with
Cloudflare provides website hosting, security, Turnstile bot protection and the server-side route used to accept form enquiries. Resend delivers those enquiries by email to Andy. My business email provider then processes messages sent to and from the published email address. Those providers should only handle information for the service they supply.
If you allow analytics, Google processes the limited website-usage information described below. Google does not receive the contents of the enquiry form from this site.
I may also share information with a funder, vehicle supplier, build specialist or professional adviser when that is needed for work you have asked me to carry out. I’ll explain the parties involved as the job develops. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it.
I do not sell personal information.
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, their data-processing terms and applicable contractual safeguards are used for the transfer.
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, maintain a record of any resulting client relationship, meet legal or accounting duties, or deal with a complaint or dispute. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or securely destroyed.
06
Marketing
The current website does not operate a newsletter signup. An enquiry will not put you on a mailing list.
If a newsletter is added later, it will use a separate opt-in and give you a simple way to unsubscribe. This notice will be updated before that happens.
07
Cookies, local storage and website analytics
The site stores your analytics choice in your browser under “arh-consent-v2” for up to six months. This is necessary to remember whether you allowed or rejected analytics. It is not used to follow you across websites.
Google Analytics 4 stays completely off until you choose “Allow analytics”. Before that choice, the Google tag is not requested and no analytics data is sent to Google. If you allow it, Google Analytics may receive the pages you visit, session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, contact-link events and a successful-enquiry event. The contents of the enquiry form, your name, business name, email address and message are never sent to Google Analytics by this site.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies including “_ga” and “_ga_<container-id>” to distinguish users and maintain session state. Google lists a default lifetime of two years for those cookies, although browser limits and your choices may shorten it. Analytics data is kept according to the retention controls configured in ARH’s Google Analytics property.
Google advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in the site tag.
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting analytics stops further analytics activity and removes Google Analytics cookies that this site can access in your browser. The separate cookie policy lists the storage in more detail.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask me for a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used or transfer it. You can also raise a concern about the way it has been handled.
I may need to check your identity before acting on a request.
