Before you get in touch

A few useful answers

You should be able to understand how I work without handing over your number first. These are the questions people tend to ask about the first conversation, fees, contact and the kind of work I take on.

Four subjects that come up

The call, the cost, the vehicle and your details.

01

The first conversation

What I’ll ask, what happens next and where you are free to leave it.

02

Fees and commission

How I may be paid on a completed lease or for a booked Power Hour.

03

Cars, vans and builds

The work I take on, including custom-build conversations and vehicle sourcing.

04

Privacy and follow-up

What happens to your details and why the first call does not start a stream of sales messages.

Before you call

A few things you might reasonably want to know.

How I’m paid, whether the first conversation turns into sales calls, and who I’m set up to help.

01What happens when I contact you?

You tell me what has prompted the search, what the vehicle does and any deadline already in the diary. I’ll ask questions, tell you whether it is something I can help with and explain the next sensible step. That first conversation is free.

02How are you paid?

Once a vehicle is ordered, I charge an arrangement fee through ARH and receive commission from the funder. If you book a Power Hour, that’s agreed and paid for upfront instead. I’ll tell you what applies before you decide anything.

03Will I be chased after the first call?

No. If I have something useful to add, I’ll get in touch; if you decide not to continue, I won’t keep pushing. My business depends on clients coming back for the next vehicle, not wearing them down after the first call.

04What sort of businesses do you work with?

Most of my clients are owner-run businesses with roughly 1 to 25 cars or vans, where the vehicle decision still lands with the owner. That isn’t a hard boundary. If the job sits outside my scope, I’ll say so.

05Do you arrange cars as well as vans?

I arrange cars as well as vans. The client comments on this site cover both, including a Citroen Berlingo van and a car supplied for Jon Hebbes. What suits your business depends on the work, the drivers and the way the vehicle will be used.

06Can you arrange a custom van build?

I can organise custom-build work alongside the vehicle. Previous jobs include a grounds-maintenance van with a wire cage and window vans, while Andy Sexton of Bike Science Ltd describes his own experience on the Success Stories page.

07Do you give tax or accounting advice?

I can raise the vehicle questions that are worth checking, but I’m not your accountant. Tax and accounting treatment can depend on your business, the agreement and the way the vehicle is used, so your accountant should confirm those points before you sign.

08Why are there no advertised deals on the site?

A useful recommendation needs some context. I need to know what the vehicle is for, how it will be used and what matters to the business before narrowing the options. That can’t be done honestly with a generic price card.

09How can I contact you?

Call me on 0117 332 9664 or email andy@arhvs.uk. I use phone and email rather than WhatsApp, and both come directly to me.

10What happens to the details I send?

I use your contact details to read and respond to your enquiry. I won’t add them to a mailing list unless you make a separate choice to subscribe. The privacy notice explains the current website setup and your data rights.

11Do I need to know the exact vehicle before I call?

No. Start with the work the vehicle needs to do, what has changed and any deadline already in the diary. Working out which car or van fits is part of the conversation.

12Can you help when several suppliers are involved?

Yes. A vehicle may involve a dealer, a funder and sometimes a converter. I can speak to the people involved, keep an eye on the dates and come back to you with the decisions that need your attention.

13What is a Power Hour?

A Power Hour is a paid session for a vehicle question that needs focused work of its own. I agree what the session needs to cover and what it will cost before it is booked, with payment taken upfront.

14Can I stop after the first conversation?

Yes. The first conversation is free and you can leave it there. If I research the brief and you decide not to go ahead after hearing the options, that is where it ends.

15What if changing the vehicle now does not make sense?

I’ll say so. I built ARH around clients coming back for the next vehicle, so a sensible reason to wait is more useful than pushing through an order that does not suit the business.

16Can I contact ARH on WhatsApp?

I currently use phone and email rather than WhatsApp. Call me on 0117 332 9664 or email andy@arhvs.uk and your message will come directly to me.

No hard sell

The question that isn’t listed.

Call me, send an email or use the enquiry form. If you’d rather read a little more first, the client comments are there whenever you need them.
